The Story Behind The Postie Company
The Postie Company wasn’t something I planned… but sometimes the best ideas come from real-life moments.
Back in 2019, my son and I were struggling with the transition into school life. Daily routines felt overwhelming, so I began drawing simple picture cards to help him better understand each part of the day. Every morning, we would lay them out together in the order that worked best for us.
He loved it — and it was then that he suggested adding a post box to make it even more fun.
That tiny idea became the spark that changed everything.
Posting each card as he completed a task, along with a small reward at the end, made routines feel exciting, achievable, and rewarding. He felt proud, independent, and genuinely motivated to take part.
Before long, friends and family facing similar challenges began asking about our little routine system. But when I searched for something similar to replace my scruffy hand-drawn cards, I realised nothing quite like it existed — especially nothing with a Postie Box at the heart of it.
That’s when The Postie Company began.

Game Changer
We bought these in the hope that they’d help with the terrible
twos! Needless to say they have been a game changer! We use them in a slightly different way at the minute, with her being so young but she absolutely loves seeing an end point and loves collecting and posting the cards!! I think being able to visually see the requests we are making have an end point really help her to get on board with the routine. We have gone from an hour long hideous morning struggle to get dressed, have our hair done and breakfast before leaving the house with daddy to a calm, enjoyable morning where we’re able to leave the house without ‘no’, screaming and tears!! If you’re not sure whether to purchase or not, take the chance!! It’s been so worth it for us!
